A Low-Overhead Message Authentication and Secure Message Dissemination Scheme for VANETs

Given the enormous interest shown by customers as well industry in autonomous vehicles, concept of Internet Vehicles (IoV) has evolved from Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks (VANETs). VANETs are likely to play an important role Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). based on fixed infrastructures, called Road Side Units (RSUs), have been extensively studied. Efficient, authenticated message dissemination is for timely delivery authentic messages vehicles appropriate regions VANET. Many approaches proposed literature use RSUs collect events (such accidents, weather conditions, etc.) observed its region, authenticate them, and disseminate them regions. However, number received increases network, computation communication overhead related authentication also increases. We address this issue propose a low-overhead scheme paper. compare overhead, dissemination, our approach with existing present analysis privacy security implications approach.
